Petunia Basket

This is my post at the
for our current challenge using the inspiration photo below.
Don't forget, you can use my code DIANE-10 anytime
to save 10% on your order!

Hi, Diane with you today!
This week our challenge theme is Purple Ride.
Now, doesn't a purple bike sound like fun?

I started my card using a pretty A5 Bellisima designer paper pack
for my background.
Using  So Silk Fabulous Purple 130# card stock,
I cut a bike with Impression Obsession Bicycle Die Cut Set.

I added a Memory Box Woven Basket die cut from
Pearlized Esse White 105# card stock.
An alternative basket die cut you could use is
Memory Box Bountiful Basket.

I filled the basket with tiny Impression Obsession flowers,
that had been colored with PanPastels Flower coloring kit-Susan's Gardens,
using the Magenta color included.
The center of the flowers have tiny Black Pearls.

For a pop of color I added a tiny butterfly cut from
Memory Box Butterfly Heart.
A quick note on this die, is I die cut it, then I just
snipped off tiny butterflies as I needed them,
making this die useful in a very different way!

A few greens were added to the basket, then I finished with a sheer
bow that I added a Lavender Pearl to the center.

Pretty Shells

This is my card on the
Don't forget you can use my coupon code
DIANE-10 anytime to save 10% on your order.

Hi There!
Diane with your today with a card to inspire you
to do a little shell collecting..lol!

I can remember vacations as a child going to the lakes
and always looking for shells...
but we never had any like these!

I started my card by first dusting my card stock with the Anti Static Bag,
then stamping a splatters stamp with Versamark,
and applying Aged Gold Frantage and heat setting it.
I like the way it gives the appearance of sand.

A few shells were cut from Impression Obsession Shell Set.
After each shell was cut, I lightly  inked the edges.
Want smaller shells?
Then you would like Impression Obsession Mini Shell Set.

I added a few LeCreme Pearls among the shells.

I finished with a sentiment stamped from the
JustRite Floral Basket stamp set,
then added a few strands of twine!

Beautiful World

Well, today is my last post as Guest Designer for Sparkle N Sprinkle.
I have to say it has been a very fun and creative journey the last 3 months.
I have had a ball using their products.
But guess what, I will joining them again in August for a joint blog hop
with another company...more on that at a later time!

I loved the new Hearts Like Dogs stamp set that was released this month.
This set has 2 different dogs and the sentiment I used
that rings so true!

I cut a Cheery Lynn Designs Horizon Fishtail banner die to stamp my sentiment on.
I stamped first with Versamark,
then embossed with Coffee embossing powder.
Can I admit something?
I chose this embossing powder just because of it's name
and I absolutely love the color.
If you could see the card "in real life",
you could see the beautiful sheen this powder has!

I stamped the dog and colored him with Copics,
fussy cut him out and added a heart.
The hearts you see in the background, I die cut.
Using Brushable Glue, I coated them with Cyclamen glitter.
This is a beautiful color of glitter, it has become a favorite!

I found a small bone in my stash and that completes him...
isn't he handsome???
Well, pretend you can see the bone,
(in the bottom right corner)
because I forgot to take a new photograph of him
before I shipped him off to the the SNS store.....LOL!

Relaxing Day

This is my post on the
Dies R Us Inspiration blog today!

It's Thursday once again and my day to show you
a super fun card!
If you read my last weeks post, I mentioned
I had a ball shopping for summer dies.
There are so many in the store to choose from
and several jumped right in my cart,
so what could a girl do but buy them...LOL!

I have to say I love this beachy scene!
The "beach" was made with Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders

The palm tree I just love!  I comes with extra fronds and coconuts,
and look at that detail.  It is Frantic Stamper Tall Palm Tree With Fronds.
I even added a few "fallen" fronds under the tree!
If you type in the word "palm" in the search box, several more come up
to choose from...I kind of want then all!

Then came a really neat Impression Obsession Beach Umbrella.
Of course if you have a beach umbrella, you have to have something
to sit on under it, so I added PoppyStamps Canvas Beach Chair.

And last, but not least, walking among the fronds, is a bird from

Wedding Challenge At The Sisterhood of Crafters

Hi there,
Wow, what a week it was for  me.
The "hubs" and I went out of town for 5 days to celebrate our anniversary!
We had a great time, very relaxing,
which I needed, as I have been working many hours on DT projects
just so I could go!
It felt so good to just do "nothing"
We went for walks, went to Mackinac Island.... rode bikes (which almost killed me..lol),
eating out, listened to a couple of bands.....had lots of fun...
The trip home was "rough" though....
blinding rain and my heart was "a thumping" right out of my chest
as all I could think of was a semi running us over as you could not see "NOTHING!
and a tornado just east of where we were driving....
it is nice to be home safe and sound for a bit!
Oh, and did I mention we travel with 3 cats and a dog.....
during the "weather" the one cat meowed non-stop at the top of her lungs!!

So, anywho, that brings me to my card I made for the newest challenge
Darlene is our hostess and she has chosen "weddings" as the theme.

I received this adorable Cottage Cutz "Wedding Birds" die at Christmas
and this is the first chance I have had to use it!

I decided right off to make a "shaker" card!
Aren't they the cutest little birds, him in his tux and she in her veil?
I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder "Dots"...
I still think out of all the folders I have
(and I have plenty)
that this one is the one I have used a ton of times!
The sentiment is from "Heartfelt Creations".

Now why don't you head on over to
see what my "sistahs" have created
to inspire you to join in with us??
You won't be disappointed, that's for sure!

Feeding Time

This is my post today at Classy Cards 'n Such
for our latest challenge using the inspiration photo below.
Don't forget, you can save 10% on your order
by using my code DIANE-10.

Hi, Diane with you today!
This week I was feeling a little bit "country",
maybe it's the neighbor's Roosters I hear everyday
or maybe it's because our challenge is Red~Black~Rooster..lol!

I layered red card stock on a black card base, distressing it
before I adhered it down.
The next layer is a scrap from my scrap bin.

I added a die cut of chicken wire to that.
The little girl, roosters and fence, are all from
Impression Obsession Farm Girl.
The little girl was cut out twice, once for her body
and a second time to paper piece her dress.
I colored her, then
I added tiny Black Pearls down her dress for buttons.

The roosters were simply inked with various Distress inks.

Now these Roosters were hungry, so she is feeding them
Shabby White Frantage, which I heat set, from the

I simply finished with a gingham bow and button!

Happy Father's Day

I am back with another Crafty Secrets project today!
I was looking through my Crafty Secrets CD's and came across
this awesome man silhouette that I thought would be perfect for my hubby!
He is a HUGE fan of Frank Sinatra and this image reminded me
of that era!

The image came from the wonderful Creating With Vintage Illustrations CD#2.
I wanted a few music papers to create with the image....and I found them ALL
Wow, you will be seeing me using these CD's in the very near future
as they are chock full of wonderful images/papers I can hardly wait to use!
I printed all my papers (I don't have a fancy print program, I just use the one that
came with my printer), then started layering them up.
The Happy Father's Day came from our new Father Digital download.
Did you know this can be purchased for only $1.95
Did you know that if you had joined in our June linky party (ended now),
you could of won this and more FREE?!

Don't miss out next month, our linky party is always the first Monday of the month
and you can enter for 2 weeks!  We even give you FREE digitals to use!

Okay, back to the card.   I finished the inside off with another digital paper from CD#2.
I think he will love it...being our anniversary is the 20th, I am using it for that, too.
He won't mind at all.

Well at the time this posts I won't be here (I hope no thieves read my blog...lol).
We are celebrating our anniversary on Mackinac Island where we were married, but I will be back On Monday...hope you had a nice weekend!

Bridal Shower Card

Hi,
Do you love "pop up" cards?  I sure do!
I made a fun one that is perfect for a bridal shower.
A bit retro, and a whole lot of fun!

I remember growing up, my grandma Lora always, always had an apron on.
I grew up with a fondness for them myself...
though more in the "collector" type, not wearing them..lol!

So, these papers from Crafty Secrets Kitchen Memories Kit
were just perfect for the card I had in mind.
In fact ALL the papers you see are from the Kitchen Memories Kit.

The pop up girl and stove are from the Retro Kitchen Kit.
I fussy cut her out, then glued her to cardboard (a later thought)
to give her more stability standing on  one leg and all....lol.

I adhered a white label to write a message and to sign the card at the bottom!

Did you check out the front of the card?
I added a red gingham bow and a cute little spoon charm
I dug out of my stash!

It's a rather large card....
and much more beau-ti-ful in person!

Head on over to the Crafty Secrets blog and see all the beautiful
inspiration there....
and visit the Crafty Secrets online store for some great deals
and lots of beautiful digitals to select from!

Happy Retirement

This is my post at Classy Cards 'n Such today!
Don't forget you can use my code DIANE-10
anytime to save 10% on your order.

Hi, Diane with you today!
Don't you just love it when you can take a bit of ink,
a few dies, some card stock and have a quick card in no time?
I know I do and this card was fast and perfect for the occasion .

I first started by inking up a blue card stock panel
with Distress Broken China ink and the Mini Ink Blending Tool,
to represent a swirling ocean.
The waves are Joy! Crafts Waves die .
I popped up my waves with Joy! Foam Pads Small.
I slightly bent the waves for a bit more of a 3D effect!

The Impression Obsession Sailboat was cut from white card stock,
then I colored the bottom with a red marker.
This set of dies has 3 different sailboats,
I used the largest one.

I wanted a pattern for the Impression Obsession  Sea Birds,
so I used a gray ink on white card stock using
Impression Obsession Cracked Paint Cover a Card stamp, (as shown above)
then die cut them out.

I finished by adding a sentiment and a  bit of twine!

More Ballet Shoes

This is my post at Sparkle N Sprinkle today.

Hi, Diane here with you today.
I have once again used the beautiful new stamp set "Ballet"
for today's card.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
It was colored with Copic markers,
then I fussy cut it out.

I used a Versamark Pen on the shoe, then added a sticky embossing powder.
I heat set it and quickly sprinkled Pretty Princess glitter on.

I went back and touched it up with Brushable Glue and more Pretty Princess glitter
in places that needed a bit more.

I die cut a Memory Box stitched circle and added tulle from Maya Road
around the edges, slightly ruffling.
The tulle Maya Road Ribbon
was attached by using Tear-ific tape around the circle edge.

This entire piece was attached to a Cherry Lynn Designs doily die cut.

The sentiment was stamped with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink,
then fussy cut out.

Cupcakes For You!

I have some very exciting news to share today!
I am not sure if you noticed it on my sidebar,
but I am one of the new designers for "The Cutting Cafe"
Whoop~Whoop, I am beyond excited!
I have been working with The Cutting Cafe files a bit
as they are a sponsor for The Shabby Tea Room.
The files are so EASY to use and make a gorgeous creation when done!

Plus I love the fact, it gives me a chance to learn to use my "almost" new
(I have had it a year now) Cricut Explore!
Now, you don't have to have an electronic cutter,
as they come in PDF files, too!

Our theme for the 21st blog post
(make sure you visit "The Cutting Cafe Blog" on the
21st to see all the designers projects in one place!) is Cupcakes.

I had intended to do more then one project,
but we are gone for our anniversary
and I just could not squeeze it in...but, I do love the  project I did!

I have been in a "happy colors" mood lately and I made an adorable
"Cupcake Holder" in bright and happy colors!
This file goes together so quickly and looks like a million
bucks when finished!

It comes with some rings to add around the cupcake placement holes,
but I just could not resist to add that little pompom trim and buttons!

I made a butterfly and a flower, which I glued to a straw for a cupcake topper.
And of course, everything is better with a bow,
so I added a colorful one to finish!

Now, I had to tease Regina,
that it was her fault I gained 10#'s during the making
of this project,
as it seems somewhere along the way a few of those cupcakes
"disappeared"!

Now pop on over to
and look at all the  wonderful inspiration!

A Day At The Beach

This is the fun card I have up on the
Dies R Us inspiration blog today!

Hello and Happy Thursday to  you all!
I hope you all are enjoying your summer weather
as much as I am...though it has rained for over 1 week straight.

Since it is too wet to get to the beach,
I created my own little beach scene with several fun dies!

I first started with a masked off circle
and SU Pool Party and Bermuda Bay inks.

Now for the fun part!
I like to buy my seasonal dies ahead of time
to give me plenty of time to use in the season we are in.
At the Dies R Us store I typed in "beach"
and all these fun dies jumped in my cart!!

which were cut from sandpaper.

that I cut two of in offsetting colors and overlapped.

cut from an old peace of wallpaper.

cut from red card stock.

cut from paper in my scrap bin.

and
