Days of Spring

Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's
April 1 New Reveal Blog Hop!

This month the Designers were asked to create projects with Want 2 Scrap chipboard products.  If you are able to visit any of the shows that SNS is participating in this year, you will notice SNS now has a larger booth.  Margaret and crew are sharing this new, larger space with Want 2 Scrap.

We wanted to showcase various projects using both SNS products and W2S products together.  Hopefully, you'll see some new uses of these products that you may not have thought of before.  Chipboard can be used for more than scrapbook layouts or mini albums :-).  So sit back, enjoy the Hop and get ready to have those creative juices flowing!

Be sure to visit the SNS Blog all month long for more projects and ideas that incorporate your favorite glitters, embossing powders, and more with the Want 2 Scrap chipboard.

On April 3rd, ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER will be selected from the comments left on the Designers' blogs listed below. Please leave a comment with each Designer in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  You never know who the Mystery Designer will be that has the winning comment.

The Grand Prize Winner, which will be announced on the SNS Facebook page and on the SNS Blog on April 4, will receive a $20 gift certificate to go shopping at the SNS Shoppe.

The Blog Hop order this month is:

Eret
Diane
Belinda
Anne
Shona

Jess

(*Tip: if you have difficulty with a particular link, try clicking on the Designer's blog title to send you to their Home page.)

We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
Wonder who the Mystery Host will be this month????

The Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge also begins today.  There are lots of prizes and recognition badges.  Come check out how you can become a SNS Featured Artist as well.  The theme is always Anything Goes using Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, and/or Flock.

Now that you had read all the details of how you can win a fabulous
prize to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Store,
I want to show you my card
and a little bit of how I created it!

I chose Want 2 Scrap Tulips Chipboard,
using just one from the package of four.

First applying Versamark and White embossing powder,
then heat setting, I next added the neatest embossing powder
called Polka Dot.....I just love the pretty, shiny effect!
I then traced the leaf part and fussy cut it out, then used
brushable glue to adhere it down.

I die cut a Sue Wilson die from black card stock
that was first adhered to Super Adhesive Sheets.

Gypsy Red Velvet glitter was applied and I used my
'finger tool' to burnish the glitter in well.

Once all the glitter was well burnished,
I used a Glitter Brush to 'clean up' my die cut.

To finish I added a 'Pull Ribbon' bow....
this ribbon is a 'must have'...so pretty and so easy to create a gorgeous bow!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

A Little Bit 'Dressed' Up

This is my LAST post at the Dies R Us blog today.
Time for a new team to inspire you all...
a sad day for sure,
but as they say all good things must come to an end.
I have enjoyed working here immensely,
but on the other hand I am more then ready for a break...
thanks Dies R Us!!

Hi There!

I have the cutest die to show you today.
It is Frantic Stampers Tiered Gown.
What a fun die this is!
It comes with 7 different die cuts....
can't you just see all the pretty dresses with this!
A perfect die for wedding showers or a little girls birthdays!

I cut the gown from 3 different dot color papers
and the hanger from a silver metallic.

I used Impression Obsession Rectangle 6 in 1 Frames
to 'frame' the dress.

I also used another one of the frames to frame the sentiment.

The inside of the card uses some of the framed dies as well.

Make sure and visit us here Monday-Friday for more
beautiful inspiration using 'must have' dies!

Memories Are Stitched With Love

Today I am 'guest designing' at Crafting by Designs.
The theme for the March Challenge is 'anything goes'....
pretty easy for me!

I hadn't a clue of what I was going to create and
then it just so happened I opened my mailbox
and my 'All Stitched Up' die was there from Spellbinders.
Perfect timing!

I wanted my card to have a bit of a soft, vintage look
with the dress form die.
It was cut from the prettiest pastel paper by Papermania called
'French Lavender"

All the other pieces you see, buttons, spool of thread and scissors were
cut from snippets in my scrap bag.

I stamped my sentiment using SU Perfect Plum.

Here is the inside.

Thank you Crafting by Designs for having me as a guest designer.

Springtime Wishes

This is my post on the Dies R Us blog today.

I must have Springtime on my mind as I have
been having fun lately making Spring cards.

My newest Spring die is so full of detail.
It is Amy Designs Spring Frame
I die cut it from white card stock,
then adhered it to a blue designer paper.
It was then fussy cut out and popped up on an embossed back ground.

I added pretty blue pearls to the flower centers.
A sentiment from Inky antics was stamped int he center.

To finish, I simply added two little butterflies
die cut from Joy! Crafts.
These are no longer available at this time,
but if you type Butterfly or Butterflies in the search box,
you will be amazed how many there are to choose from in various
designs and sizes.

Visit here Monday-Friday to lots more beautiful inspiration.

Welcome

Time for a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and Sandi Lee is our host and she has chosen the picture below
as our inspiration!

Right after Christmas Cottage Cutz blog had a blog hop,
I joined in and I ended up winning the gift certificate to their store.
I sure had fun shopping as not only did I have my certificate,
they had all their dies half  off and a HUGE clearance section as well.

That is where my chair die comes in...
isn't it cute?
It was at that time on sale for almost nothing!
I cut it out twice, then added the print for the back and the cushion.

The rug embossing folder is one I have had forever and
this is the first time I have put it to use!

The welcome sign are stamps from SU Hoop La La set,
stamped in SU Groovy Guava and Bermuda Bay inks.

I added the little kitties that I cut from snippets of scrap papers.

Now head on over and see what my 'sistahs' have created....
join in with us, we would love to see what you create!!

Best Wishes

Wow...it sure has been a busy last few days for me....
My poor little rescue kitty "Freckles" went to the vet today for her 'spaying'.
She did quite well, but she is 'holed' up here in the craft room with me
to keep her away from the other cats until she heals.
She is not suppose to play, jump, or run for 14 days...
really....she is a very playful kitten after all!
I chose Lazer surgery for her as it is less invasive and
you would never know she had anything done the way she acts!

After I dropped her off for surgery,
I met my granddaughter and her husband and
treated them to a movie, "Miracles In Heaven".
This was a wonderful movie based on a true story
and the power of 'faith and prayer'.
I highly recommend seeing this.

So, while spending a bit of time with her I decided to
make a fun card for the challenge at Dragonfly Journeys
which is 'Hippity Hoppity'.

.:

And also the challenge at Pixie's Snippets Playground
which is always 'snippets'!

I have had this cute little bunny image for a few years.
It came in a little pack of journal cards with other baby animals,
though I can't remember who the maker is.

I dug in my bag of scraps (snippets) for all my papers.
I liked the little 'date' tab on the image and was thinking it would
make a great place to put a date of the recipients birthday!

I also have been trying to use up (it will take me years..lol)
some of those very first bought flowers and brads.

Celebrate

This is my post on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today!

Hello, Diane with you today.
I have a bright and cheerful card to show you
using the new stamp set Donna's Stylin Sayings
I first sprayed a bit of water on my craft mat
and sprinkled a small amount of
Nuance Hot Pink in it, then brushed it on water color paper.

I used a flower punch to punch out the shape.
I used one of the stamps from the set
to stamp first Versamark on each flower petal,
then heat set with Black Detail embossing powder.

I had a small wood flower, I coated with Versamark,
then sprinkled Silver Detail embossing powder on.

After I heat set that, I added Versamark again,
sprinkled it this time with Super Thick Silver embossing powder,
then heat set it once again.

This is the result of that...pretty isn't it?

I added 1/4" Tear-ific Tape to my designers paper.
Sprinkled Exhilarated neon glitter on,
and burnished it with my finger.

Next  I stamped my sentiment on black card stock
with Versamark, then embossed with Silver Detail embossing powder.

I layered it all up, with a bow, then my sentiment, and the flower on top.

Easter Egg Treat Cup

I have the cutest and easiest Easter Egg Treat Cup
to share with you today!

I used a cut file from The Cutting Cafe
and cut it on my Cricut Explore.

The card cover is cut from an adorable chick paper
that has been in my stash forever it seems.
I thought it would be the perfect background for the egg.

Once I had my treat cup put together,
I added little droplets along the edge...
I have had these forever too, and they were just perfect for the egg!

I finished off the egg with pretty ribbon and a flower
that just 'screams' SPRING to me!!

Here is the inside, it has a pull out to get the
candy out without ruining the card treat box...very clever!

There are several other treat cups to choose from,
including 2 new bunny ones.
You can see them HERE and HERE.

Make sure and stop by The Cutting Cafe blog on the 21st
as all the designers will have 'their' treat cups to share with you...
you will get to see all kinds of ideas to inspire 'YOU'!!!

Oh and The Cutting Cafe now has the cutest stamps and paper crafting
goodies you won't want to miss out on.....
go HERE to see them!!

Well I have to run as the day is already planned,
a funeral (so sad), dinner then we are headed to a
cancer fund raiser which is a 'Trivia" game....
that should be interesting...
the hubby is a bit worried about it
so I told him, if they ask about tractors, wood cutting or farming your good
and if they ask about flower gardening
and paper crafting, I'm good
anything else, well we are in trouble.....lol

Good Morning SUNSHINE

A few days ago I mentioned I made cards for International Womens Day
and never got them posted.
This is another of those cards...
but I think it was meant to be late,
as it is now time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Now I have been a 'stalker' of this hop for quite some time
and told myself when the next hop 'hops' around I am joining in!

I have to say the stamp I used is an 'oldie but goodie'
and it looks so much like me in the mornings it's quite scarey..LOL!!

I always used to tell my very much missed "Nellie dog"
"Good Morning Sunshine" when I got up as she was always
waiting for me to 'get up'!!

This card came together pretty quick using that crazy 'old' stamp!
I have several other coffee related stamps, so I think in the next few days
you will see a few more posted on this good old blog!

I hope you have enjoyed it and I am sure you can relate to it, too..lol!!
