Celebrate

I got a tiny bit inky with this card featuring a BIG ole' sun
in the background!
I used a few TH Distress inks and a negative left over from a die cut for the sun.

A Tutti Designs Bamboo Screen die was cut from kraft paper,
then I once again used TH Distress inks on the edges of the bamboo.

A Spellbinders fan was die cut from a primitive color of red card stock
and to finish I simply stamped my sentiment,
then used a neglected SU punch to punch it out.

Celebrate With Style

I have another card I made for Tutti Designs today using the pretty die

I had fun adding a few things to the trellis....
a pretty glitter flower with a glittered brad (all from my old stash),
a few punched butterflies using a MS punch,
and a sentiment stamped on a SB die cut.

The background was embossed with a lattice EB folder.
That about sums it up....thanks for visiting!

Thank You

Have you been watching the news with the hurricane?
OMGoodness my heart goes out to the people of Texas!
It has been devastating to watch and I couldn't even imagine having to deal with what they have before them.
We are to get remnants of the storm here in Michigan
around Sunday or Monday but nothing obviously like they had.
I won't be here, but it will probably just be rain and wind...
just goes to show how strong that storm was to reach Michigan!

For today,
I have a card I made using Tutti Designs Bamboo Screen

Using TH Distress Inks, I stenciled a background for the
bamboo to 'rest' on.

I inked up a sun using some TH distressed inks on a punched circle.

I stamped a bird, then fussy cut him out,
he is sitting on the bamboo enjoying the heat of the sun.

A few little sequin flowers were added here and there, a ribbon using RRR
and of course the scalloped punched/stamped sentiment.
I liked how this card turned out..thanks for looking!

Merry Be Your Christmas

Is it starting to feel a bit like fall in your area?
It sure is here with cooler nights and less humid days,
but I happen to love Fall, the only downside being it is too darn short!
I started putting a few fall things out
and shopped for a few new things
to get me in the decorating mood..maybe I will show some of it later!

I have a Christmas card today, I know 'groan'
but it will arrive as fast as fall will leave us
and this year I am going to actually mail some of my cards, no really I am!

I made this card with one of the new Tutti Design dies that were released in July

The wreath was cut twice, once from green scrap and then just the cardinal from red.
I added red 'berries' using Nuvo Crystal Drops Autumn Red.

Easy card put together with scraps and dies and not too bad to mail either
though the bow will add a bit more postage.

A Thankful Heart

This is my post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.

I am showing the new stamp set Autumn Berry Wreath.

I die cut a Spellbinders Circle Delight and placed it on the new Tonic Stamp Platform
to get the not only perfect placement, but the perfectly stamped image!  The image was stamped with Nuvo Hybrid Ink Pad Acorn Brown.  By using the stamp platform I could stamp the image more then once to get a nice crisp and darker image.

The image was then colored in with Nuvo Glitter Markers Northern Lights and Ember Glow.
I used Super Adhesive Sheets (cut to the size I wanted) on a piece of red card stock (these sheets are super sticky on both sides.)
The doily circle was then placed on the adhesive sheet and Victorian Christmas glitter was then sprinkled on the adhesive, filling in all the open areas.

To finish my card, I cut a small banner, stamped the sentiment on with Versamark
and embossed with Coffee embossing powder. I die cut a butterfly using a Precious Marieke die and a Memory Box Precious Heart die.  Nuvo Crystal Drops Autumn Red were then added to the butterfly and various places on the background glitter.

Anything Goes At The Sisterhood

A fun challenge (an an EASY one, too) is up and running at
and the theme is 'Anything Goes' being hosted  by our lovely 'sistah' Vickie!

I have to admit that this is not at all what I intended to create
but I have been bogged down with working on a new release for Tutti Designs
and time just got away from me
and here it was time for our new challenge and I had nothing even started..gulp!

So, in a pinch I went to my 'scrap' panels I created last winter
to create my card for today!
These panels are perfect to just grab and use, which is exactly what I did!

Everything on this card is OLD!
I used an older Flourish stamp set (Country Road) for the sentiment
and a Hampton Art stamp for the butterfly (Spring Butterfly)
I think this stamp is from the 90's!

Even the inks are older from SU~Groovy Guava and Pacific Point!

I used a Lawn Fawn die to cut the panel and the new
TH Tonic Stamp Platform for the perfect placement of the sentiment.
Because of using that,
I was able to stamp the sentiment 3 times to make a bolder image.
I have to say this is my favorite new tool and have used it daily since it arrived at my door!
(thanks Sparkle N Sprinkle)!!

To finish I added sequins.
I often wonder if cards with sequins make it through the mail or if they fall off
before they get there?
I used Tombow glue to hold mine on.

Head on over to The Sisterhood and see all the fabulous variety
of creations my 'sistahs' have created and join in with us!!

It's A Giraffe Kind of Day

I have a simple and I mean very simple card for today!
I saw a challenge I really wanted to join in
Sunny Day Crafting .... Giraffes
but as usual time was passing me by and the challenge ends in a couple of hours.

I just couldn't not join in, hence the 'simple' card.

I grabbed all scraps for this and a cute little stamp
I bought a few years back from the $1 bin at Michael's.

I stamped him with SU Close To Cocoa ink
and cut him from a Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Oval die.

Ribbon was added from my RRR ribbon stash.

I can use this card for a birthday for one of the 'grands' I think.

Grateful

This is my post on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.
I have all the product links not only throughout
the post but listed at the end of the post as well
for your convenience.

Hi, Diane with you today featuring one of the newly released stamp sets for August

I decided to make a 'quilted' background for the image
complete with a glitter 'quilt binding'.

I embossed a teal card stock panel with WeR Memory Keepers quilt EB folder.
It was adhered to a white base.

Double sided Tear-ific Tape 1/2" was added along all four side,
then Creamsicle glitter was added to look like the binding.
I used the Glitter Brush to clean off all the excess glitter.
The image itself was stamped with Versamark on a Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Circle Die,
then embossed with Gold Detail embossing powder and colored in with Copics.

I once again used Versamark to stamp the sentiment then embossing with
'Beach Cruiser' embossing powder.

I hope you have enjoyed my pretty glittery card and will try one yourself.
Thank you for visiting with me today!

Rock On

Because I am working so diligently on the next Tutti release,
I haven't a moment to spare but wanted to put a little something on my blog!
I have had mostly pretty, girly cards on so today have a card
that would be great for a teen boy.

I used a embossing folder from Cuttlebug that honestly I didn't
know if it would ever get used.
I had purchased a Cricut 'Mystery Box' a few years back
and it had over 30 embossing folders in it and this was one of them...FUN!

I die cut a Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Banner,
then embossed it.

To that I added a Tutti Designs Musical Stave with a tiny glitter heart
and a Tutti Designs Acoustic Guitar with a gem.

That's it ....  easy peasy!

All White Challenge at Double D

Today at Double D Challenges Team Darlene is hosting
and the theme is an ALL WHITE challenge
using the gorgeous mood board below for inspiration!

I love these mood boards and I love these challenges as sometimes
they put me a bit out of my comfort zone,
which is what a challenge is all about...right?

I knew right away the creation I was going to make for this challenge though.
Several years ago I had purchased a Christening Dress die from Cottage Cutz
and absolutely love the sweetness of it.
Plus the fact that this summer I am expecting my 4th great grandchild (a girl)
and will be needing a card for her christening.
(I know, you don't have to mention it, I am waaaay too young to be a great-grandma...LOL)

I used a Spellbinders Labels Four die to cut an opening in my card stock.
Once cut out, I embossed with a Sizzix EB folder.
I computer generated the sentiment, one I love,
and placed under the opening (window).
Then I added my christening gown and bonnet,
a few CLD Leaf Flourishes and branches from the CLD Wreath Strip dies.
These are two of my 'go to' dies most of the time, I just love them!
Three little white Roses were then added!

So, make sure and visit (and join in with us) the Double D
and see all the gorgeous, gorgeous creations from the Double D girls!!

and today is the day!

there is a story behind this die  but I will tell that at another time...lol

Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Rectangles
that I water colored with my Zig pens...look how bright these colors are...love!

added to the flowers etc....but I wanted this card to be an easy mailer

Here is my project for the reveal.
I used the stamp set Autumn Berry Wreath,
making a tag.
I love giving a special tag with a gift for a friend or family member,
in hope they will keep it and treasure it.

For my tag I stamped the Autumn Berry Wreath
but first using  an anti-static bag on my paper.
I embossed with Gold Fine detail embossing powder,
then began coloring the image with Copics.

Once completely colored,'I used Tonic Mini Scissors to fussy cut the image out.

Next I used a Darice Snowflake embossing folder,
die cut a tag with Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tags
then used a Nuvo Glue Pen Medium tip to go over
each snowflake (you can do several at a time),
then sprinkled with Sparkling Snow glitter, and
repeated the process until all the snowflakes were done.
This is actually very easy to do and takes no time at all.
Once completely dry, I used my Glitter Brush to clean away all excess glitter.
Tip:  I use a scrap paper, folded in half to glitter over,
then use it as a funnel to put the glitter back in the bottle,
then just toss the glittery paper away!
Another quick glitter clean up tip is to use a Swifter cloth and
run it over your work area, it cleans up all the glitter!!
I just cut mine in half and use one at a time when needed.

I die cut a smaller version of the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tag die,
then stamped the sentiment with Versamark and
embossed with Apple Red embossing powder.
I achieved the perfect placement of the sentiment by using the new
Tim Holtz Stamp Platform (LOVE that thing)!!

A ribbon was added to the tag top.

Make sure and leave a comment on each and every designers blog
for YOUR chance to win the entire release!
Next on the hop is the very talented and lovely DONNA.
