Twofer Challenge

I have a couple of fun cards I made specifically for a new challenge today.
The challenge is Twofer Card Challenge.....
you can read all the rules by visiting there,
but basically it is you use the same die or stamp in two very different ways.
The theme is feathers.

I knew I had a feather stamp an  hunted it down and then never used it.
While I was in the LONG process of re-organizing my dies
I found a Cheery Lynn Designs Feather with ink well die

That set my mind going and I came up with these two 'twofers'

The first one I die cut from a scrap of a paper that I had used
Ken Oliver powders on..so pretty IRL.

My second card was made with the same die and to change it up
I made it a Thanksgiving Turkey card!
I used the same feather die (of course) and cut them all
from scraps, then made myself a little turkey!!

With so many challenges closing (things are a 'changin' in blogland thas is for sure),
it is nice to see a new challenge
and also one that really is what I call a challenge.

So pop on over to the Twofer Card Challenge #1 and see all the great DT creations!!

How lovely your single feather is! Looks elegant and rich, Diane. And your turkey is beautiful! What a great way of using that die in both completely unique applications. Your imaginative use of color is amazing in your twofers. Thanks for the inspiration, Di!

Hi Diane! You have done a fantastic job of creating two completely different cards with the same image. Great work!! LOVE the single feather with the ink well. The colours are gorgeous and beautiful CAS design. Your second card is so fun ... what a great way to create a cute card for Thanksgiving! Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge.

Wow! You did a fantastic and very imaginative job with this fun challenge, Diane! Beautiful feathers. Those Color Bursts look awesome on the one feather, and the patterned papers on the turkey -- love those! Brilliant idea! I didn't realize so many challenge blogs were closing, apparently going to Facebook. Too bad. I won't be there.

How clever is this? I love that you have die cut those turkey feathers in different patterned papers. Great take on the challenge, which is kinda hard, by the way. Love these!!

I think you nailed the twofer idea. Two totally different occasions, styles and feels to your creations. Well done!

WOW These are AWESOME! What fabulous ideas ... love them both! Your CAS card is amazing and just beautiful ... then Mr. Turkey ... how could you NOT LOVE HIM!! LOL Awesome inspiration ... hopefully I'll get to play tomorrow (Christmas FINALLY ALL put away)!

Your turkey card spoke to me - we used to make turkey in my Montessori class, using their little hands for the turkey body, then they glued on the feathers! Happy memories, lovely card! I also love the simplicity of the first card, the "stitching" holes around the edge - wonderful! Lindart

Love that single feather in the ink well - it fascinates me that people used to write like that! And your turkey made out of feathers is phenomenal! What a fun idea!
Thanks so much for joining us at the very first Twofer Card Challenge!

Thank you so much for the shoutout and the encouragement, Diane! I personally needed something new to schpark my schparker and I'm glad to see that it is resonating with so many of my card artist friends!!

Your two designs are just fabulous! The KO powder colors are so pretty, but the way you cut your ink well to make it look like it is gilded - WOWZA!! This design is elegant in it's simplicity! And then bravo for embracing the concept of two different designs by creating your Happy Thanksgiving card! I love him in his pp finery!! Thank you for playing!! Hugs, Darnell
